Reverse
The obverse features an energetic dog tastefully depicted with florals, leaves and clouds. Its agile limbs are accentuated with swirls and clouds to resemble swift-like movement and exude its jovial nature. The paws are shaped like an auspicious ‘Ruyi’, symbolizing blessings of good fortune.

The Kingdom of Bhutan 2018 Lunar Year of the Dog coloured proof silver coin was issued for sale by the Singapore Mint in September 2017. Minted in ultra-high relief, with relief height up to 3 times the usual height, this lunar series not only brings about blessings of happiness to the receiver, but is a master piece showcasing the innovative minting techniques. The Bhutan Lunar Dog is issued as part of the Lunar & Attraction series, exclusively minted and marketed by the Singapore Mint.
The coin is finished in proof and encapsulated in a square clear acrylic case, and are presented with an attractive red coloured box.
