The obverse features a boar artistically depicted exuding liveliness and vigour. Its legs and ears are portrayed with large swirls and clouds, emphasing its robust features. The nose is shaped like an auspicious ‘Ruyi’, symbolizing blessings of good fortune.

The Kingdom of Bhutan 2019 Lunar Year of the Boar coloured proof silver coin was issued for sale by the Singapore Mint in September 2018. Minted in ultra-high relief, with relief height up to 3 times the usual height, this lunar series not only brings about blessings of happiness to the receiver, but is a master piece showcasing the innovative minting techniques. The Bhutan Lunar Boar is issued as part of the Lunar & Attraction series, exclusively minted and marketed by the Singapore Mint.
The coin is finished in proof and encapsulated in a square clear acrylic case, and are presented with an attractive red coloured box.
