The hardiness, utility and uniqueness of the sugar maple (Acer saccharum) make it a cherished species, but many people (Canadians included!) fail to see its ephemeral spring bloom. While some species of maple have bright clusters of red flowers, the sugar maple has yellow-green flowers. The latter give it a proud appearance in early spring, but as their color resembles that of young leaves, they often blend in with the emerging foliage.Packaging
The coin is encapsulated and carefully presented in a lacquered red wooden box embossed with the Royal Canadian Mint logo. The case is accompanied by a black protective box.
