The great horned owl (Bubo virginianus), also known as the great horned owl, is remarkably adaptable: its territory is the largest in the strigidae family, stretching from the north to the south of America. It feeds mainly on rabbits, hares, rats, mice and voles, but will happily attack any other animal at its mercy.
