The Colossus of Rhodes, depicted on the 500 Amafaranga coin from Rwanda, was a massive bronze statue of the Greek god Helios that stood over 100 feet tall and was built in the 3rd century BC. It was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and was destroyed by an earthquake in 226 BC.
