Julius Nyerere: Tanzanian politician, founding father of Tanzania, President of Tanzania from the date of the country's foundation, in 1964, until his retirement, in 1985. He is considered one of the greatest historical figures of the Twentieth Century and one of the two most important personalities of modern Africa together with Nelson Mandela.
