Interesting fact

The 50 Satang coin featuring King Maha Vajiralongkorn's first portrait, also known as Rama X, was the first coin to be issued with his image after his accession to the throne in 2016. It was minted from 2018 to 2020 and has a unique feature - the king's image is facing to the right, unlike previous coins featuring his father, King Bhumibol Adulyadej, whose image faced to the left. This change in direction symbolizes a new era for Thailand and represents the king's commitment to moving the country forward.
