Date of issue: 30 APR 2020The Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces (Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ) is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as the military feats of the Russian people in all other wars. It is located in the Patriot Park.
According to the project, the height of the Cathedral including the cross is 95m. The diameter of the drum of the main dome is 19.45m, as 1945 is when the Great Patriotic War ended. The height of the belfry is 75m: 2020 marks 75 years since the end of the Great Patriotic War. The height of the small dome is 14.18m: during the Great Patriotic War, the hostilities lasted 1,418 days and nights. Each of the side-chapels is dedicated to the patron saint of one of the Russian Armed Forces branches.
The Cathedral’s territory also includes the 1,418 step long gallery ‘The Road of Memory’. Owing to the micrography, the gallery was decorated with dozens of millions of photos of the Great Patriotic War participants.

The Church of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, also known as the Church on the Blood, is a Russian Orthodox church in Yekaterinburg, Russia, built on the site where Tsar Nicholas II and his family were executed in 1918. The coin's design features an image of the church on one side and the Russian coat of arms on the other.
