Date of issue: 10 NOV 1994The aurochs destroyed everywhere in Europe had been preserved in some Zoos by the beginning of thirties of the 20th century. To recreate the total number of wild aurochs the nurseries in the Prioksko-Terassny and Oksky Preserves were set up.
Coins weight varies 5.85-6.10 g. There is no now reliable information about the coin's standard weight.
