Comment

The Kijang Emas is minted by the Royal Mint of Malaysia and distributed by Malayan Banking Berhad. On 17 July 2001, the gold bullion was launched by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia. The date marked the beginning of history for Malaysia as one of the country in the world to issue its own gold bullion coin.

However the Kijang Emas was minted for only 3 years until 2003 and have stopped, and this makes it very rare and sought after for bullion gold coin collectors.
