In the beginning, the primary objective of the company was the production of gasoline engines and multi-fuel engines. Twelve years after the foundation of the company, Anton Schlüter acquired his own foundry. It was located in Freising, a town near Munich.
Interesting fact
The Anton Schlüter Motorenfabrik, which is featured on the reverse side of the coin, was a historic automobile manufacturer based in Freising, Bavaria. The company was founded in 1899 and produced cars until 1929, when it went bankrupt. The factory building still exists today and has been converted into a museum, where visitors can learn about the history of automobile manufacturing in Freising.
