Comment

Sailfish is one of the biggest fishes of sea Cuban fauna, and very appreciated on sport fishing.
Each year, a fishing contest named after Ernest Hemingway, who was an avid fan of this sport, is held at Cuba, to protect fauna it is performed under the "catch, tag and leave" format, it means the fish is captured, taken aboard, tagged and left free again alive. Points are earned upon the species caught, they size and weight, and can be penalized if fish dies, or suffers unnecessary damage. Valid species are Blue Marlin, sword fish, and sail fish, which have similar shape, habits and method to catch.

Krause shows 2,500 pieces minted, but ECA (Cuban Minthouse) declares 2,000 only.
