The coin was re-issued in 2019 with the Jody Clark fifth portrait to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 50p in the Military set.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design, showcasing the Victoria Cross, which is the highest military decoration for valour in the face of the enemy given to members of the British and Commonwealth armed forces. The coin's design also includes a silver piedfort, which is a technique used to create a thicker, more detailed strike than traditional coins. This makes the coin a distinctive and valuable collector's item for numismatists and military history enthusiasts.
