The Great Pagoda at Kew was built in 1762 as a gift for Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha, mother of King George III.First issued in 2009 with Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth portrait to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew, this 2019 issue features Jody Clark's fifth portrait and forms part of the 5-coin British Culture Sets celebrating 50 years of the 50p. Issue limit: 1,220. This design was also struck in copper-nickel, silver proof, gold proof and gold piedfort.
