HMS Victory is the world’s oldest naval ship still in commission. Having never been officially decommissioned, it’s now in its 245th year of service.
She has been in dry dock for 100 years, but is the flagship of the First Sea Lord, the military head of the Royal Navy.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design, showcasing HMS Victory, a British warship that played a significant role in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The coin's design also includes a musket ball hole, which adds a distinctive touch to the coin's appearance. This design element serves as a reminder of the ship's history and the significance of the battle it was involved in.
