HMS Victory is the world’s oldest naval ship still in commission. Having never been officially decommissioned, it’s now in its 245th year of service.

She has been in dry dock for 100 years, but is the flagship of the First Sea Lord, the military head of the Royal Navy.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design, showcasing HMS Victory, a British warship that played a significant role in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The ship is depicted at full sail, giving the impression of movement and power. This design was created to commemorate the 215th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar and pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the sailors who fought in the battle.
