Although this design was first issued in 2010 with Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth portrait to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of Girl Guiding UK, this 2019 issue was the first time a gold piedfort had been issued. It featured Jody Clark's fifth portrait and formed part of the 5-coin British Culture sets celebrating 50 years of the 50p.
