First issued in 2004 with Ian Rank-Broadley's fourth portrait to commemorate Roger Bannister making sporting history on 6th May 1954 as the first athlete to run a mile in under 4 minutes.This 2019 issue was the second time a silver piedfort had been released and formed part of the 5-coin British Culture Set celebrating 50 years of the 50p. This design was also struck in copper-nickel, silver proof, gold proof and gold piedfort. Issue Limit: 1,220
