This silver issue was only available in Brilliant Uncirculated and was part of the complete set of 29 coins to commemorate the London 2012 Olympic Games. It was also issued individually as well as being available in copper-nickel and gold proof. Issue Limit: 30,000Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 50p coin is that it features a unique reversible design, with the football pitch depicted on one side and the Queen's portrait on the other. This innovative design was created by artist Jonathan Olliffe and was a first for a UK coin.
