This is the last of four different designs issued by Alderney : KM# 75, 76, 77 and 78.
Jersey and Guernsey also issued four coins, making twelve different designs altogether for the Channel Islands.
Jersey and Guernsey, but not Alderney, issued the same designs in copper-nickel as well.

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, which took place on June 2, 1953. The coin's design features a portrait of the Queen on the obverse side, while the reverse side depicts a stylized image of the St. Edward's Crown, which was used in the coronation ceremony.
