Rosalind Franklin was made famous for Photograph 51 which confirmed the existence of DNA as we know it today. The second release in the Innovation in Science series, this coin celebrates the 100th anniversary of Rosalind Franklin's birth. This design was also struck in silver proof, silver piedfort and gold proof. The BU mintage comprised Royal Mint packs (17,527 sales) and third party trade packaging (51,750 sales).
