Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 50p coin is that it features a unique portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which is the fifth portrait of her reign. This portrait was designed by sculptor Jody Clark and was first introduced on British coins in 2015. It features a more mature and regal depiction of the Queen, with a slightly different hairstyle and a more elaborate crown. The use of a 1/40 oz fine gold coin also adds to its uniqueness and value.
