Comment
Coin issued individually (mintage: 2019 pieces) and in a set of 3 coins (295 sets).Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it commemorates the 50th anniversary of the first flight of the Concorde, a supersonic jet that could travel at speeds up to Mach 2.04 (1,354 mph or 2,180 km/h). The Concorde was a joint project between British Aerospace (now BAE Systems) and Aérospatiale (now Airbus). It made its first flight on March 2, 1969, and continued to fly commercially until 2003. The coin's design features an image of the Concorde in flight, with the Queen's effigy on the obverse.
