Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued to commemorate the 65th anniversary of D-Day, which is significant because it marks a pivotal moment in World War II when Allied forces landed on the beaches of Normandy, France, and began the liberation of Western Europe from German occupation. The coin's design features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, along with an image of a soldier on the beach, and the words "D-Day 65th Anniversary" inscribed above. The coin's release was limited to 2009, and it has since become a sought-after collector's item among numismatists and history enthusiasts.
