The design was used again in 2019 with the Jody Clark fifth portrait to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 50p in the Culture set.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique reverse design that depicts Britannia, the symbol of Britain, standing on the shore, looking out towards the sea. The design was created by Matthew Dent, a British artist and designer, and it was specifically commissioned for this coin. The use of Britannia on the coin is a nod to the long history of the British Empire and its legacy, and it is a symbol that has been associated with British coinage for centuries.
