Comment
This first type, with water lines to the swimmer's face, was issued in 2011 as part of the 29-piece BU sets to commemorate the XXX Summer Olympiad, London 2012. It is not known how many of these sets were produced before this coin was withdrawn and the second type, with more definition to the swimmer's face and no water lines, was released.© Changechecker
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was withdrawn from circulation due to a design error. The coin features a swimmer diving into a pool, but the designers forgot to include a critical element - water! The pool is depicted as empty, which caused the coin to be mocked and ridiculed. As a result, it was quickly withdrawn and replaced with a revised design.
