Interesting fact
The Pattern 50 Marks (Pattern) 1923 from Poland made of Gold is a rare and unique coin, with only 500 pieces minted. It was designed by Polish artist and engraver, Józef Aumiller, and features the image of a crowned eagle on the obverse side, and the coat of arms of Poland on the reverse side. The coin was minted in 1923, during the Second Polish Republic, and was intended to be used as a pattern for a potential new currency. However, the coin was never put into circulation and most of the minted pieces were melted down. Today, the surviving coins are highly sought after by collectors and can fetch high prices at auctions.
