Interesting fact

The 50 Litų coin (10th Anniversary of the Baltic Way) 1999 from Lithuania is unique in that it features a joint design by the three Baltic States - Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The obverse side of the coin depicts a joint image of the three countries' national symbols: the Lithuanian Vytis, the Latvian sun, and the Estonian three lions. This coin was issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Baltic Way, a historic event that took place on August 23, 1989, where approximately two million people joined hands across the three countries to form a human chain, calling for independence from Soviet rule.
