Interesting fact
The coin features a portrait of King Albert II on the obverse (front side), which was designed by the artist Jan van Rysbroeck. The reverse (back side) of the coin features an image of a Belgian lion, which is a symbol of strength and courage in Belgian culture. The lion is also a nod to the country's coat of arms.
