Interesting fact
The 50 Forint coin features an image of the famous Hungarian composer, Franz Liszt, on its obverse side. Liszt was a renowned pianist and composer of the Romantic era, and is considered one of the greatest pianists of all time. He was born in Raiding, Hungary (now Austria) in 1811, and died in Bayreuth, Germany in 1886. The coin's design was created by the Hungarian artist, László Szlávics, and was introduced in 2012 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Liszt's birth.
