Interesting fact
The 50 Fen coin from Yunnan Province, minted during the Xuantong period (1909-1911), features a unique design on its reverse side. Instead of the traditional Chinese dragon or phoenix, the coin features a stylized image of a Yunnan snub-nosed monkey, a species endemic to the province. This design was chosen to promote the local culture and wildlife of Yunnan, and it sets the coin apart from other coins minted during the same period.
