Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Pattern 50 Fen coin from Republic of China made of Copper-nickel is that it was designed by the renowned Chinese artist, Xu Beihong, who was also a famous painter and calligrapher. He was commissioned by the Central Bank of China to design the coin, which features a stylized dragon on one side and the Chinese characters for "50 Fen" on the other. Xu Beihong's design was meant to symbolize the country's rich cultural heritage and its connection to the ancient Chinese dragon mythology.
