The 50 Céntimos coin from Venezuela features the image of Simón Bolívar, the country's national hero and a leading figure in the Latin American struggle for independence. He is depicted on the obverse (front) side of the coin, while the reverse (back) side features the coat of arms of Venezuela and the denomination "50 Céntimos". This design was introduced in 2001 and has been used on the 50 Céntimos coin ever since.
