This coin is the second in a set of five coins called "Dreaming Down Under" featuring five of Australia's most iconic animals, this series features shy and defenceless versions of their adult protectors. Beautifully realised, the artistry on this coin captures the creature’s vulnerability to perfection.Equipped with powerful limbs and flattened claws, wombats are among the world’s largest burrowing animals. Like other marsupials, a baby develops inside its mother’s pouch, which in this species faces backwards for protection during digging.
Accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, each coin in the limited mintage is housed in a classic display case with a clear lid which comes in an illustrated shipper.
