Comment
When Marti's Centenary set was projected, all coins were designed to have the same obverse, but later issuer decided they would be too boring to have same obverse and reverse, so they changed design of 1 Cent, 25 Cents and 1 Peso coins. This pattern reflects the original design.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Pattern 50 Centavos (José Martí; Pattern) 1953 from Cuba made of Silver (.900) weighing 12.5 g is that it was designed by the Cuban artist and sculptor, José Martí. The coin features a portrait of Martí on the obverse side, while the reverse side depicts the Cuban coat of arms. This coin was minted in 1953 as a pattern coin, meaning it was not intended for circulation but rather as a trial or sample coin. It is considered a rare and valuable collector's item among numismatists, particularly those interested in Cuban coinage.
