Though SCWC gives mass 5 g in 1970 and 5.1 g in 1977, most probably it is a mistake.

Interesting fact

The 50 Centavos coin from El Salvador, made of Nickel and weighing 3.9 grams, has an interesting fact. It was the first coin in the country to feature the national emblem, the "Pendón de El Salvador," which is a shield with the country's name written above it and a Phrygian cap, a symbol of liberty, on top. This coin was introduced in 1970 and was in circulation until 1977.
