Comment
Tiridates III (spelled Trdat; 250-330) was the king of Arsacid Armenia (287–330), and is also known as Tiridates the Great Տրդատ Մեծ; some scholars incorrectly refer to him as Tiridates IV as a result of the fact that Tiridates I of Armenia reigned twice. In 301, Tiridates proclaimed Christianity as the state religion of Armenia, making the Armenian kingdom the first state to embrace Christianity officially.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features an image of Tiridates III, who was a king of Armenia in the 3rd century AD, on one side, and the coat of arms of Artsakh (also known as Nagorno-Karabakh) on the other. This coin is a unique representation of the history and culture of the region, and its silver content and limited mintage make it a valuable collector's item.
