The 1986 5 Yuan silver Panda was issued in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of the World Wildlife Fund. The fund's logo features Chi-Chi a Panda from the London Zoo. The coins were marketed in several different ways. One is the standard box and COA but the other is a little tri-fold portfolio with the WWF's story on it.While the proof looks better, the BU coin may be scarcer, especially in high grade. This coin is not part of the regular Panda series as it shows the PRC five star symbol instead of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing.
