This coin was issued by the revolutionary Provisional Government of South Vietnam, which ruled South Vietnam from defeat to North Vietnam in April 1975 until unification in July 1976.Four variants are known.
Type 1: Narrow ribbon on Obverse
- 1st: Grooves on plant stalks. The leaf in the lower left is wavy.
- 2nd: Plant stalks without grooves. The leaf in the lower left is arched.
