According to ha.com, the JNDA-unlisted nickel 5 Sen Year S13 (1938) was never officially released for circulation, and all but four examples was melted. NGC graded coin exists.Interesting fact
The 5 Sen coin from Japan's Shōwa era (1933-1938) made of Nickel is interesting because it was produced during a time of rapid economic growth and industrialization in Japan, and its design reflects the country's shift towards modernization. The coin features an image of a cherry blossom, which is a symbol of Japan and represents the country's cultural heritage, on one side, and the Imperial chrysanthemum, which represents the emperor and the state, on the other. This coin was also produced during a time when Japan was rapidly industrializing and expanding its military, which eventually led to its involvement in World War II.
