Comment

Of the coins dated 1967, 65,200,000 were minted in 1967 and 10,264,000 were minted in 1968.
Of the coins dated 1968, 54,536,000 were minted in 1968 and 20,000,000 were minted in 1969.

The coin was designed by Geoffrey Colley and you can find the engraving "GC" on the obverse of the coin in this series, under the Parliament building. However, there are also coins that do not have the GC engraving due to the problem of the coin die (a tool for minting coins) being blocked.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 5 Sen coin from Malaysia's Parliament series (1967-1988) is that it features a unique design that showcases the country's rich cultural heritage. The obverse side of the coin depicts the national emblem of Malaysia, which includes a crescent moon, a star, and a Malay crown, while the reverse side features a traditional Malay house, known as a "Rumah Gadang," which is a symbol of the country's cultural identity. The use of copper-nickel in the coin's composition also adds to its durability and resistance to corrosion, making it a valuable collector's item for numismatists.
