Comment

Althogh the preceded series of copper-nickel decimal coins were not popular, as people were not familiar about the new monetary system, the government still want to decimalize the currency. They planned by issuing the low denomination coins of 1-5-10 Satang first.
Initially, Brussels Mint was chosen to mint the coins. Although the cost was high compared to other mints, but the quality of coins is more satisfying.
The coins were monetized on November 11th, RS127/BE2451/AD1907.

Due to WWI, no coins were ordered in BE2461/AD1918 and BE2462/AD1919.
In BE2463/AD1920, 8_000_000 coins were ordered from Brussels Mint. The mint struck using 2461, 2462 (long tailed ๖), and 2463 dies. Then another 2_185_000 coins were ordered, making the mintage of these dates are only presumption.
Also, 2_000_000 coins were ordered from Birmingham Mint, struck using 2462 (short tailed ๖) dies.
In BE2464/AD1921, 5_220_000 coins were ordered from Birmingham Mint.
In BE2465/AD1922, 7_780_000 coins were ordered from Birmingham Mint, struck using 2464 dies.
In early yeas of Rama VII, due to economy depression after WWI, the coins are only ordered in BE2469/AD1926 from Brussels Mint.
In BE2479/AD1936, coins were ordered from Brussels Mint, struck using prepared 2478 dies.
In BE2480/AD1937, Sitthikan Mint was ready to make coins itself. 20_000_000 blanks were ordered from HENRY WIGGIN & CO., LTD. Using 2480 dies, it is the only date mined in Siam. Design of the obverse was modified, making it more beautiful.
In BE2482/AD1939, further 20_000_000 blanks were ordered from the same company, but WWII emerged and importation is cancelled.

Brussels Mint used comma in date, while Birmingham Mint used dot.
