Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it commemorates the 50th anniversary of Concorde, a supersonic jet that was in service from 1976 to 2003. Concorde was a joint project between British Aerospace (now BAE Systems) and Aérospatiale (now Airbus). It was known for its distinctive drooping nose and its ability to fly at speeds up to Mach 2.04 (1,354 mph or 2,180 km/h), making it the fastest commercial airliner in the world. The coin's design features an image of Concorde in flight, with the Queen's effigy on the obverse.
