Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the coin is that it features a unique design depicting T.E. Lawrence, also known as Lawrence of Arabia, on the reverse side. This design was created by sculptor and coin designer, John Bergdahl, and it shows Lawrence in a traditional Arab headdress, with the Arabian desert landscape in the background. This design was chosen to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Lawrence's famous Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire during World War I.
