Issued to commemorate the first British Sapphire Jubilee.The design has been inspired by traditional heraldic coin designs. Featuring the Sovereign’s Sceptres from the Coronation regalia alongside the year dates 1952-2017, it also shows the number 65 which represents the years Her Majesty has been on the throne.
