In 2006 similar coin was issued but with previous portrait of Queen Elizabeth II (portrait by RDM).2008 coin is issued in copper-nickiel when 2006 issue was in silver.

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a new portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which was designed specifically for this coin and is not found on any other coins.
