Released to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of William Wordsworth, this is the first time the famous poet has been celebrated on a UK coin. The wording on the reverse is from his poem ‘Tintern Abbey’ and the coin was designed with the support of the Wordsworth Trust.
Released in Brilliant Uncirculated quality, in Royal Mint packs (7,945 sales), in third party trade packaging (10,257 sales) and in Philatelic Numismatic Covers (496 sales). The design was also struck in silver proof and gold proof.
