Interesting fact
The White Greyhound of Richmond is a rare and unique design feature on the 5 Pound coin. It's a nod to Queen Elizabeth II's love of dogs, particularly Greyhounds, and is a departure from the traditional designs seen on British coins. The coin's designer, Timothy Noad, was inspired by the Queen's fondness for Greyhounds and incorporated the symbol into the coin's design as a way to personalize it and make it stand out.
