Comment
The fourth and final coin in the 2020 Tower of London series. The tower's role as a prison has long been established with many famous inmates. The words "MY LIBERTIE DENIED" were etched by Thomas Miagh a prisoner held but never charged on the walls of the tower.

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design depicting Elizabeth II in a crown and robes, surrounded by a representation of the infamous prison, on the reverse side. This design was created by sculptor and engraver, Jody Clark, and it is the first time that a British coin has featured a prison as its main design. This coin was issued to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Penny Black, the world's first adhesive postage stamp, which was introduced in the United Kingdom in 1840.
