Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a special reverse design, created by sculptor and engraver Jody Clark, which depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Imperial State Crown, surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves. This design was specifically created for the 2017 issue of the £5 coin, and it marks a departure from the traditional depiction of the Queen on British coins, which typically show her wearing a tiara or a crown with a veil. The use of the Imperial State Crown, which is worn by the Queen during the annual State Opening of Parliament, adds an extra layer of significance and majesty to the coin's design.
